  I recently got to see The Princess Bride on the big screen, with a lot of family and friends. Our entire row pretty much recited the whole movie. But I think it was okay; nobody even glared at us. They were probably reciting it, too.
  
  So excited about the possibility of a Whedon interview.

  1. I would support any kind of action that might lead to a Whedon interview.
  2. Heat should be read by everyone. Immediately.
  3. Someone totally has to host a Princess Bride watching & reciting party immediately, after we've all read Heat (see 2 above).

  Ah! Titus Andronicus just has this glossy goreyness to it that makes it a bit fun on top of all the horrid things that happen. Try out the film version sometime.... it really plays with the "gloss" on the gore and still manages to really stab deep at times. Must admit to many hand wagging tongue cut out gags in Shakespeare class though, because that's what you do when you're an ingenue with no lines. There's just something about studying that play that brings out the camp in actors, blood can be fun that way.

  Ayee! I secretly hoped the quoting would begin! Frequently in our house: "I'm not a witch, I'm your wife! But after what you just said I'm not even sure I want to be *that* anymore!" Ok. Not too frequently.
  @Lisa B: Re: #3, I volunteer to host. At the very least, you and I will have a blast. :)
  ETA reply to Cecily, who posted her comments at the same time I was drafting mine. This production of Titus didn't gloss. The gore was devastating. I have no idea if joking went on during rehearsals, but you could hear hearts stopping in the audience.

  I tend to annoy people with my Princess Bride quotes as well. I'm actually thinking of locating a used copy of the book somewhere. I love the movie, but sometimes a girl needs the written word. Same with Neverending Story.

  @mmt: Unfortunately, I won't be there (this is somewhat related to the immigration paperwork I recently had to submit). I hope you enjoy! And I'd love to chat crochet with you anytime; I don't think old-school / new school has come up (with me, at least) in a while.)

  I'm the new editor at Crochet World. I've been on the freelance design end since 85(!), so your on editing has been timely. CW is definitely old school, not that there's anything wrong with that, it's the audience I know and love. "Still", she says, tongue in cheek," it pays to keep an eye on those young folks."
  The first time I wrote this, lightning hit the line and deleted it. Simultaneously, what was in my toaster started on fire. Maybe we shouldn't converse!
