Really, it sounds like fun for sure, especially when you really like the people you work with. Congratz!

Re: What’s a Real Job, Anyway?

The contracts we'll be working on first will be very simple; as such, there
shouldn't be jurisdictional issues in most English-speaking countries. It's
something the drafting teams will keep in mind, though, and also something
users might want to discuss with a lawyer if they know there's a local quirk
that's different from most places.

As we get going, this is certainly a topic we'll blog about.

Re: What’s a Real Job, Anyway?

Very cool! I am curious about these contracts though - will they be written to fit various jurisdictions? I imagine that Canadian and EU and US law (and various state/province laws) are sufficiently different to make that an issue. Different templates for different localities? Templates that will work across borders?

Re: What’s a Real Job, Anyway?

Oh, I am so excited to see this project unfold!
And congrats on finding work you're excited about!

Re: What’s a Real Job, Anyway?

Very interesting project! It can be the most rewarding type of work, sometimes. I also will never cease to be amazed at how transferrable our skills are... from knitting to law! It gives me hope as I try to figure out how to put my English teacher skills to good and productive use.

Re: What’s a Real Job, Anyway?

This is so fantastic. Thanks for being such an amazing advocate for finding one's own path to work one loves...
