The contracts we'll be working on first will be very simple; as such, there
shouldn't be jurisdictional issues in most English-speaking countries. It's
something the drafting teams will keep in mind, though, and also something
users might want to discuss with a lawyer if they know there's a local quirk
that's different from most places.

As we get going, this is certainly a topic we'll blog about.

Very cool! I am curious about these contracts though - will they be written to fit various jurisdictions? I imagine that Canadian and EU and US law (and various state/province laws) are sufficiently different to make that an issue. Different templates for different localities? Templates that will work across borders?

How exciting for you to be in on the ground floor of something (again, right?)! It can be the most rewarding type of work, sometimes. I also will never cease to be amazed at how transferrable our skills are... from knitting to law! It gives me hope as I try to figure out how to put my English teacher skills to good and productive use.
